28 luglio 2026
Wellness Foundation, in partnership with IRCCS Ospedale San Raffaele, launches Exercise4Health, an educational programme dedicated to the medical community on the role of physical exercise as a tool for the prevention and treatment of major chronic diseases.
The project is developed within the framework of Milano Wellness City 2030 and aims to create a cultural and social legacy connected to the Milano-Cortina 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Games, strengthening the role of physical activity in chronic disease prevention, mental health and active ageing.
The programme consists of five thematic modules, scheduled between September and October 2026 at Technogym Milano (Via Durini, 1):
- Exercise 4 Cardiovascular Health on 16 September, morning session from 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM
- Exercise 4 Metabolic Health on 16 September, afternoon session from 2:00 PM to 6:30 PM
- Exercise 4 Brain & Mental Health on 7 October, afternoon session from 2:00 PM to 6:30 PM
- Exercise 4 Cancer Prevention & Treatment on 21 October, morning session from 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM
- Exercise 4 Women's Health & Musculoskeletal Ageing on 21 October, afternoon session from 2:00 PM to 6:30 PM
The programme will conclude on 19 November 2026 with the final session "Exercise4Health: From Guidelines to Exercise Prescription", hosted at Technogym Village in Cesena, a full day dedicated to discussion around clinical cases and practical training with Technogym technologies.
Exercise4Health is a high-level educational opportunity thanks to a distinguished faculty composed of specialists from leading hospitals, IRCCS research institutes and Italian and international universities, as well as an approach that bridges scientific evidence and clinical practice through theoretical content and real-world cases. The programme also adopts a multidisciplinary methodology applied to the prevention and treatment of major chronic diseases, while promoting the use of technology, data and artificial intelligence to support the assessment, monitoring and personalised prescription of physical exercise.
The ECM-accredited course is free of charge upon registration and is aimed at medical specialists, residents, researchers, physiotherapists, psychologists, psychotherapists, biologists, healthcare assistants, dietitians and students, with the possibility of enrolling in individual modules or in the full programme. The Scientific Coordinator of the initiative is Massimo Massarini, sports medicine physician and member of the Wellness Foundation Scientific Committee, supported by Silvano Zanuso, Scientific Director of Wellness Foundation and Technogym. The initiative is endorsed by the Milan Medical Association (OMCeO) and supported by Technogym.
